Saregamapa is definitely one of the best music shows on television and what amazes me the most about this program is the amount of talent we have in our country, its simply unbelievable.Saregamapa is a great platform for the young aspirants and gives them the opportunity to display their god given talents.Its also a treat for all the music lovers like me, coz you not only get to hear fabulous voices in the show but also the choicest old hindi film songs.
All about the show:
CONTESTANT:Well there are four contestant in each show, two male and two females and out of the four two are selected as the winners.If anyone of those winners goes on to win in 10 episodes, they will get a chance to record an album with ZEE MUSIC.I think most of the people who participate in this show are very talented and what I really admire about them is their confidence to sing in front of the audience, knowledge in music, pronunciation and diction of hindi and ofcourse their voices without which they would not be standing their on the stage.
HOST:The show is being hosted by the very talented singer Shaan who has taken over from Aman and Ayan Ali.Shaan is doing a great job and presents the show really well.He is very encouraging, friendly, has a very smiling face and all this makes the participants very comfortable in his presence......which makes them perform better.So Shaan has not only proven to be a great singer but also a very good host as well.And I must also add that its a pleasure to listen to Shaan’s voice in the show, he sings those old hindi songs really well.
GUESTS:Well, to judge the contestant their are famous and renowned people on the show, people like OP NAYYAR, ALKA YAGNIK, KAVITA KRISHNAMURTHY, PARVIN SULTANA, KHAYYAM, SHOBHA GORTU and a lot others, who are well versed in music.The contestant are given points in each round on the basis of their performance and then the winner is adjudged.I feel that most of the judges are fair and just in selecting the winner.
PROCEDURE:There are four rounds in the show.In the first round the singers have to sing a song of their choice but it should be based on something, say an instrument or object.In the second round two singers are made to sing with the host Shaan, he sings the mukhda and they have to sing the antra.In the third round the participants have to sing songs of the judges choice, and most of the songs in this round are classical based to show their range as an artist.The last round is the Duet round where a male and a female singer have to sing together.
So this is all about this fantastic program.Recently they also had a children special, where small kids had come to perform and I couldn’t believe that they could sing soooo well, there was a girl called SANCHALI, she was unbelievably good.I think we should watch such program and thus encourage and appreciate these talented people.I hope people come up with more such program coz we have so much talent in our country and every one there deserves a chance to showcase their talents.I never miss a episode of SA RE GA MA PA and I would recommend it you guys too, watch it coz its worth it.
