Come Friday night and if u lead an uninteresting life like me and have no where to go and u love hindi film music, then tune on to Zee tv’s Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa at 10:00pm.This is one talent show worth watching.
Its amazing to hear people with such wonderful voices, singing with soo much of zest and enthusiasm. The best part of the show is that we get to hear a variety of hindi songs ranging from the old melodies of 60’s and 70’s to the foot tapping ones of the 90s.
Ok, for those who have not heard of the show, this is a music competition (or should I say singing competition) hosted by Shaan. There are usually 4 participants, 2 guys and 2 gals.
The best male and female singer get to go to the next episode and compete with 2 new participants. There are usually 4 rounds. In the first round the participants sing songs of their choice but it should be based on the theme of the week. The second round has the girls singing a song together followed by the guys. The third round is the judges’choice round and the fourth is the duet round.
The recently concluded inter-collegiate was a real treat to watch. The participants were just too good.
The reasons U should watch this show:
1: Shaan . He is enthusiastic and does his job well. Besides singing really well, hes also charming and looks cute .
2: Absolutely talented participants.(dont blame u’rself if u spend some extra minutes in the loo the next day singing u’r hearts out. The participants do stir the singing instincts in u.)
3:The judges are eminent personalities from the Indian music scene.Kavitha Krishnamoorthy, Chitra, Shubha mudgal, Abhijeet, Kumar Sanu to name a few.
4: One hour of wonderful music.
Things that can bug u:
1: Painfully long commercial breaks.(But then, thatz why they invented the remote..)
2:At times the scenario gets a wee bit too formal.
Anyway, all in all this is one show I just cant resist watching. Enjoy the music.
