MOVIE STARTED GREAT BUT RAN OUT OF GAS

Hi there, Just saw the movie Saala Khadoos yesterday and I can’t help the feeling that I was a movie with a great start that ran out of gas during the duration of the movie.

The movie is a quintessential story of a has been player and coach and a rowdy student/player. How they meet each other, how the coach  understands the true potential of the player and brings it out forms the crux of the story.

Why I watched This Movie?

From the trailers, it seemed like a sports based movie and I am always ready for such kind of sport movies that will not only entertain you but also motivate you. The trailers were made pretty good. So, I decided to catch the movie in the theatre.

Plot

The movie is a quintessential story of a has been player and coach and a rowdy student/player. How they meet each other, how the coach  understands the true potential of the player and brings it out forms the crux of the story. It tries to show the trials and tribulations of both the coach and the player with a boxing background. The story speaks about a rowdy, rebellious girl, who always fights. How a has been player/ coach takes her under his training and guides her in life makes the main plat of the story.

Cast

The role of the coach is played by Madhavan. He has done a commendable job. His role of an cheated and anguished boxer is well portrayed by him. The role of the lady boxer student is played by Ritika Singh. Being a newcomer in to mainstay cinema, she has acted very well. She the character the audience seemed to connect the most.

==Did I Like the Movie?=

Though the movie started well & the acting was nice, the screenplay started showing loose ends half way in to the movie. The emotional connect was not maintained in the movie as it started in the beginning of the movie. Towards the end the movie was appearing as a washed down version of Chak De India with boxing in the background. Because of that I did not like the movie as much as I should have.
