Saala Khadoos, you might actually feel like you got your money’s worth – to some extent, at least. But be warned, the film’s cast will make it very hard for you to stick around for those first 60 minutes or so. The film opens with him working as a women’s boxing coach in Hisar. Even before the opening credits, he has been packed off to Chennai to train an entirely underwhelming group of girls who are not expected to achieve anything. The songs could have been done away with. Yes, the screenplay is sometimes predictable and there are many scenes that will remind you of Chak De! India, Mary Kom and even Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. The problem in a sports film is usually that there is nothing we haven’t seen before. This one too succumbs to the same syndrome.
