The movie starts out with Aditya (Vivek Oberoi) waiting for Suhani (Rani Mukherji) at the train station. When she doesnt show up even after late night, Aditya is worried and starts looking for her. In the meantime, the screenplay takes us back and forth, from the present to the past, and back to the present again. We see the story through the thoughts of Aditya, from two years back to now; how they met, fell in love, married secretly, left their unaccepting parents, had a short blissful time, and then came the real test of marriage. And one day, Suhani hasnt come home. What has happened? Did she find another guy? Is she in trouble? Or has death found her? Watch Saathiya to reveal this secret.
The screenplay keeps the viewer on the edge of their seats. It is very creatively and powerfully done. Rani and Vivek look and act really well. All songs are diverse and above average, and very well choreographed.Saathiya won the best music, lyrics and singer award; it is well worth watching the movie.
