Rahman....magic hai!!!

The moment I heard udi udi on television...i had made it that this one(Saathiya) is a must buy..also since the song was sung by Adnan Rolu Polu Sami!! The music of the album is so.....unique..thats the only word!

The music compiled by Rahman is really quite nice on ears quite hummable. I rate my bvest as Aye Udi Udi by adnan sami....coz the music is terrific...being a remake of a Tamil hit...the song doesnt have any south indian touch but is very different.

The second best song is Saathiya(the title track)...sung by magical Sonu Nigam and penned by Gulzar....his lyrics r amazing Just a piece of last lines of the songs for admireres ’’Barf giri ho wadi mein....oon mein lipti simti hui....barf giri ho wadi mein aur hasi teri goonjein...oon mein lipti simti hui...baath kare dhua nikle...garam garam ujla dhua....naram naram ujla dhua’’ and then the music follows. The imagination of this description is so very romantic that u tend to hear the song numerous times.

The song I like next is ’’O Humdum Suniyo re’’ which has a very techno effect to it and some mouth music too...dhim dhim tana na dhim tanana siti bajayega.

The item number called ’’Chori pe chori’’ Sung by Asha Bhosle is also very fast..u really need to listen to catch it up at first.

The song ’’Chalka Chalka Re’’ has a very typical south indian touch(in terms of music) to it..since it is a kinda bidai song...but again the lyrics are quite good.

Then there is a song called chupke se..which is a good song with nice lyrics but still not worth listening as compared to other songs.

Then there is song called Mera yaar mila de...which is kinda sad song...and it seems that someone is separated and stuffl ike that and asking to arrange a meet.

The there’s a very irritating song called Naina Milai ke(frankly speaking it seems like some umrao jaan song is going on).

Theirs a one minute song called Managalyam its actually a kinda ’’slokh’’ in sanskrit or I feel some south indian language but I really found it very nice..since its quite different..i really enjoyed this one.

The voice contributions are from Adnan Sami, Sonu Nigam, KK Shaan, Asha Bhosle and other ppl.

Overall speaking the album is quite good and a change from the routine music.

I feel all the Rahman fans must add this one to their collection!! :)
