India, as all other countries has its own characteristics.When some one says INDIA, a very few things come to the mind of a foreigner.One of them is SACHIN TENDULKAR.
This Man has been in the arena for more than 15 years.He has won a lot of matches single handedly.He can fill a stadium by his mere presence.He can thrash any bowler apart.Being in the team is itself a moral boost.There were times when people used to say that there are 20 players in this Indian Cricket Team. One TENdulkar and ten other players.This is , in no way an exaggregation of this man’s potential. Many oppositions have feared this man’s presence.And above all this, he took the team to the finals of the World Cup 2003.
With all these credentials, this man was humiliated by the crowds of MUMBAI, his native.This is the worst way of applausing him of all his achievements.Just think how this man would have felt when he was facing that crowd.Behind this Ruthless criketing mind, there is a man. As fragile as any of us.What answer would they give when his bat speaks for him? Every shot would would be a bullet in thier throat.
Not only that mass, also the media.There were articles written on Tendulkar’s downfall.He was called’’ENDULKAR’’.Dont these people have hearts and brains?? Do they know anything about this man? Its a cent percent truth ’’IF CRICKET IS A RELIGION, TENDULKAR IS GOD’’.I dont see a lot of people disaggreing to this.Also there was an article that said that the Tendulkar of the past is no more.What kind of a remark is this?? Yes, obviously the Tendulkar of the past is no more.He was 8 years younger when he was at his peak in 1998. Remember that period?? 8 of his centuries came at that year.He baked Shane Warne’s beans, fried Mc Grath’s Pegions and
blasted away anybody throwing a ball at him.Now he has aged. His batting style has to change.He is evolving. This slump in form is temporary.
There are some things in this wide wild world that are unchangable. In that list , we have TALENT.We know the talent that this man posses.I dont ask them to hail him as God. Atleast dont discourage him.Lets give him support after all he is playing for our country. He is playing on our behalf lets give him respect.
He will be back to his best and lets hope he lifts the World Cup 2007 for us.
