Sachin Tendulkar –A genius without a doubt, this little master made his International debut in ODI’s and Tests at the age of 16 years. He played his first One Day Match against Pakistan in 1989/90. His Test Career also started with a match against Pakistan in 1989/90. Facing the sizzling pace of Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis is not an easy task. He managed to survive that and that got him to great success.
The young man also became the captain of the Indian team as he took over from Azharuddin in July 1999. As a captain he was doing a marvelous job but his performance was affected as his average went on falling. It was difficult for him to work under pressure.
The name of Sachin Tendulkar strikes terror in the heart of the bowlers nowadays. He was first batsman to score 10, 000 runs in one-day cricket in his match against Australia on 31st March 2001. He is famous for his shorts to be timed well & placed well. He is also famous for his googly bowling.
Apart from his career Tendulkar is an understanding husband & a very loving father. He also owns a restaurant named “Tendulkars” in south of Mumbai. His restaurant has a typical cricket atmosphere with bats, stumps & gloves which has his signature on them. The plates which they serve in are also signed by him. He is also doing many ad films like Reebok, Airtel, Boost & many more.
Thus he is a role model for all the youngsters who has achieved great success in such a short span of time. There is a lot to say about him but merely words are not enough for his stunning performance in International Cricket.
