I recently moved my household stuff that weighed about 500kgs gross weight from Bangalore to my home town in Odisha. Having fried my brain over which mover & packer to choose, I was very skeptical if this company can really deliver my stuff intact. I had received quotation ranging from 20000 to 60000/- for the stuff I moved that included washing machine, fridge, aquaguard and an expensive treadmill. at least 3 people came down to my apartment to do survey and gave me quotation including one from the famous Agarwal Packers(APML). What added to the conundrum was if it was justified to spend 30-40K on shipping old stuff hardly worth 1.5lakh as the reputed shippers were quoting. On top of that going with sadak chaaps who sit at trucking terminals was full of risk including that of extorting your money by holding your stuff hostage. Finally I hit upon Safexpress, Bluedart, Gati and started inquiring from them. Now the choice to go with safexpress was, should I say, easy from begining. The customer service was responsive, and provided me details and the restrictions such as they wont carry electronics such as TV, washing machine etc. and also stuff longer than 6ft and that they don’t do packing. The website was genuine(with tracking and transparent describes the rates). So I took a call and went with them. Bluedart was also almost similar range but had so many restrictions and the customer service so non-responsive. Spoke to one guy claiming to be from Gati who wanted all payments by cash and 80/- per kg, which was a deal breaker. Safexpress finally took my request and came down to collect my stuff, and I was so happy when they accommodated my long items as well(I was worried how to send them). The weight is calculated by volume, so one will benefit if they have heavier / denser items than light stuff such as clothes. Anyway in my final calculation the rate came to to~22/- per volumetric and 45 per gross. When the items finally got delivered after 7 days, I couldn’t believe. The items had arrived in just 4 days. I thought I must write this review to give credit to a company who really deserves it.
