Sagar apollo, Indiranagar is just a money s*cking machine. I had a terrible experience with them. I had some pain in my ear, so I went in for a consultation for which they charged me 150 and the doc gave some meds saying to come back after a week for wax removal from the ear canal. Neither she nor the billing lady bothered to inform me that it would cost extra.
I go back after a week and the same doc is not available, so they send me to another doctor who does a 2 min. job pumping water in my ears through a rubber syringe. Post that, I am cooly walking towards the exit when this receptionist says, pls. pay consultation 150 again. I said -for what, it was a follow up. She said no it was a seperate doc. I was aghast at this attitude and told her that she should have told me this in the morning when I had come around asking for the doc. who had diagnosed me in the first place. And she said some other ENT doc will be around in the evening, so come then.
After, I refused to pay for consultaion charges again, she said fine, kindly cough up the treatment charges. I asked -wot treatment charges? She said its 250! I was like-for putting a stream of water in my ear it was 250!(for those of you who are familiar with wax removal from ear, which I am sure most of you ould be having undergone it at some point or the other). Anyways, I said either you or the doctor should have informed me about this before doing the procedure not after! This was daylight robbery in CAPS. Post which she said you should have asked. Can you beat that, I mean I am not a doctor, how should I kno what procedure and what charges. I said it is your job to inform-not mine to ask. She said thats my falling and I need to pay up. I gave her my debit card to charge the same. I jus wanted to pay and leave-I knew arguing with them was not going have any effect.
Then her 2 male colleagues joined in(staff, not docs.) and started threating me with dire consequences for talking to their female counterparts like that . Told them to mind their own goddamn business since I was not talking to them. And here comes the icing on the cake- This guy, Mahesh I think his name was said, JUST PAY AND GET OUT. Unbelievable isn’t it. I mean I thought the patient was king for a hospital.I was livid how could he talk like this. Said he had full rights as he was an employee. Told him he’s still getting pay because patients like us come there otherwise he would have no job.
Anyways paid them the 250 bucks and am glad that I gave them a piece of my mind. HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL, NO MANAGER IN PLACE TO TAKE CARE OF STAFF CONDUCT AND THE PERSON WHO OWNS IT DOESN’T GIVE A DAMN OBVIOUSLY. IT IS SAD THAT A MEDICAL CLINIC THAT BINDS A DOCTOR AND PATIENT SACRED RELATIONSHIP HAS BECOME LIKE A CREDIT CARD AGENCY BY LEVYING HIDDEN CHARGES IN THE GUISE OF TECHNICAL LINGO AND HAVING COLLECTION THUGS SITTING AT THE RECEPTION TO JUST RELIEVE YOU OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY . DONT EVER THINK OF EVEN GIVING IT A TRY. DEFINITELY WORTH A MISS
