If you are passing by sector 17 or shopping around you might be tempted to go to Sagar Ratna in Sector 17 seeing a huge queue waiting for their turn to come.You might think it is worth waiting for because the food is going to be mouthwatering .... It’s actually an illusion.
You definitely don’t expect a great ambiance at Sagar Ratna but I am sure you will expect cleanliness , hygeine and good taste of food.
It would be a blunder to order North Indian or Chinese there because of my past experience.
I love their Dahi vada so ordered that first.It was as great as ever.
Later, we ordered for Pav Bhaji and Masala Rava Dosa. To my surprise Pav’s were stale and Bhaji tasted horrible. It wasn’t hot either. On telling the waiter about the same he said it is the way it is supposed to be and he added to that it is just made so you cant say that it is not warm enough.
When I tried the Rava Dosa I didn’t like it either. Sindhi is better off any day when it comes to taste .
God knows when will people in Chandigarh wake up and stop having unacceptable food. This city is full of food lovers but people somehow don’t take the initiative to write about their experience in comment cards and on the net.
Only when the feedback reaches the ears of the management of a particular hospitality group will change happen.
I know at the moment there isn’t much choice but why not have the best . Bring the change that is meant to be ....
