I recently moved from Bangalore to Chennai and hired these crooks and read at my horror story
The NAME TRAP:*
Please note they are not a part of the reputed SAHARA GROUP, closely check the logo! These are a bunch of fly-by-night CHEAP CHEATERS! check their website, there is no link or connection
THE CALL TRAP:*
These folks and the directory enquiry service have a connection, when you call a directory enquiry these guys are informed that you plan to move and there you get the TRAP CALL, Check for yourself!
THE SALES MAN TRAP:*
They seem to have commission based free lance sales men, who wear the Sahara logo shirt do the act and disappear never to be seen
THE DAY OF THE PACKING TRAP:*
On the day of the packing there are just 2 guys who will turn up they are shabbily dressed and unfit to pack cloths, glass wear and cooking articles, they are over worked, stressed and will do the packing at their own pace, even you give them tips etc., the reason if they complete early their joker owners will send them to another house to unpack / pack so they take atleast 3 times more time. During this time the sales man who first met you makes the disappearing act never to see you again, from now on it’s your headache. In case you plan to pack and take an evening flight you can conveniently cancel the flight
NO TRUCK TRAP:*
This is the biggest trap of all, Sahara Bangalore does not have a single vehicle of their own, they get lorry’s that have come to the city and negotiate a dirt cheap price for the lorry that has to return empty. So once they guy completes the packing he informs the head office who then start to beg, search try to fix a lorry for you. So they have no skin in the game.
LORRY BREAK DOWN TRAP:*
The Sahara as#$*!%s will try to club 3 - 4 lorry loads into one . andif you find out, they will say your lorry broke down and they have gone out of the way to accomodiate in one lorry
SINGLE LOAD TRUCK TRAP: *
The sales man who has done his disappearing act would have promised you a individual carrier so they send a small truck and let you know that its completely for you, but it will not be sealed as they might need to open in the check-post, and its not for that. The truck goes to a open ground where all the load to a specific place are manhandled, damaged, thrown around and dumped into a single truck(while you have paid for one whole truck). So in case you get to see the truck in transit, which I did you will be shell shocked, it was carrying atleast three other persons articles, so now you know how you get the competitive price. At this time all cell phones of the above jokers are switched off or will not pick up your calls.
THE DELIVERY TRAP:*
Since its not their truck(and they don’t own any) they will ask the truck driver to get 2 unloaders(while you have paid for unpacking) to thrown the goods in the compound, they will start excuses like it was told its in the ground floor, lift is not big enough. This is inspite of writing Door-To-Door delivery and packing & Unpacking. So its your misery
THE OCTRAI & CHECK POST TRAP:*
Since it’s a third party truck it will reach ontime to the destination, however it will not reach your house, you keep calling anxiously and you will hear that the truck is held up in checkpost and they are asking to unpack all the goods, else you have to pay Rs 2000/-. Now what you call this a trap?
