Avoid Sahara: My learning to deal with them.

I wish i had read all the reviews against Sahara Packers before opting to chose them. Hope this review of mine allows other people to keep themselves away from these jerks. I had called Sahara Packers for giving me quotation for shifting. The quotation was seeminly very much lower than any other vendor. The idiot Manjo Jain (Biggest AsHole in the world) told that they are best in the market and provide the best rates.

I was still able to negotiate with him and we agreed upon a final price of Rs 12500.

When the packing started these buggers asked full payment which they said is the company policy. I agreed and gave them the payment. For the delivery of the goods, I was literally embarrassed with the delay of 10 days. SOme of my friend told me that there was an As-Hole Jitesh who uses furniture for delivery and warehousing in his own house.  I used to call every day and initially they said they have labour problem and security clearances at the police tolls cross state borders.

After that Mr Jitesh Started giving bad swears on the phone when we damanded our goods to be delivered immediately. He even threatened me that if I don’t keep quiet, then he will dump my household in a gutter and wont return even a single piece. This pissed me off. I thought what have I done. His number is 9341231571. Its 24/7 Number. He even told that police authorities are his right hand and swaered "Tujhe jo karna hai kar le" and some bad words. Later I had to convince him in low voice (lose all my self esteem adn self dignity) and use words like sir, maalik, maibaap etc to get the goods delivered after the delay of 10 total days.

Finally I saw some of my electronic gadgets, CD’s, and lot of other stuff missing which when asked, I was told that they were not available while they did the packing. So amidst all this I understood some important techniques to behave with any household carriers.

1. Negotiate the rates fully before he hands out the quotation. Ask to give another quotation if they come down on the initial quotation.

2. Dont agree to the full payment. Instead tell them that you would make only 25-30% of payment during loading and the rest only after the goods delivered. Dont hand over the rest of the amount until they unload and arrange the household stuff appropriately in the house and you verify that all your stuff is present in the delivery.

  1. Never agree on the rates that are not competitive in the market. There always will be a trap. Like they will ask more while loading or during unloading or some other trap you never know.

  2.  Always make payments in Cheque addressed to their company.

  3. Ask if they are going to charge any service charge in the final bill. Usually they do if you need the bill.

  4. Carefully chose and negotiate the terms of insurance. The trap is: If they say that travel will take 2-3 days to your town for the goods to be delivered,  insurance wil also be valid only for 2-3 days. If they delay, like in my case, then you wont be able to claim insurance. Also never remember to collect the insurance papers before loading the goods. Sahara never gave me insurance papers even though they took Rs 3200/- for the same.

Any other suggestion form the experienced fools like me are always welcome to make sure the frauds get down big time along with their business. If I become a big person later in my life, I will make sure I Sue Sahara packers in the american court of Law.
