I just hope I had read these reviews before calling Sahara (Bangalore office ). Guess I’m luckier than a few others on this site...since my bad experience was "only" about these A holes not turning up at all on the scheduled date of my move!
Here is the background - one person named Shailhes (mobile: 9845864646) came for inspection and giving a quote on a Sunday. Was very polite and also pretended to be "frank"...admitting certain things that he could not promise etc. The move was scheduled for the coming Friday and he even confirmed the same on Thursday evening. But on Friday when I called up the office 15 mins before their guys were scheduled to arrive to check if everything is on time, I was in for a shock. Here are the responses from them:
Lady at office answering phone : Oh...but your move is scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday)! Upon arguing, said we can only come tomorrow (as if it is all supposed to be flexible)! Upon further arguing, transferred to her "manager".
Some A hole called Rahul: Sir let me find out what has gone wrong. Will call you back in 10 mins.
After 30 minutes, still no call. Another Lady at office answering phone : Rahul is not in office. He’s gone out in the "field" (to take a dump I guess). After a few more shouts from me, said something like "Oh...didn’t anyone call you to inform about your cancellation? Some staff is on leave today so we have cancelled some moves".
How utterly convenient for them. Not to talk about the inconvenience to their customers.
I finally ended up hiring another P&M and had to spend 3000/- extra due to the urgency. I am seriously thinking of filing a formal consumer court complaint and demand damages. It is time we taught these buggers a lesson in customer service. Do reply if anyone is interested in pursuing their complaints to a better conclusion.
