I have nothing more that’s new to add - it is the same sad story. Manoj Jain swings in and gives a lower quote. Unexperienced packers arrive late and ask us for newpapers to pack. Out of 5 guys only 2 partially knew the job of packing.
The rest were doing trial and error. Luckily this time they had tapes and cartons. Their container got lost along the way (4.5 kms away between the two places that we moved). We arrived at our destination (local in Bangalore) by 10.30 pm and they expected us to unpack and give the cartons right away. I had a small baby and couldn’t think of doing anything more that day.
They added taxes and other items not there in the original estimate. And then expected us to pay a refundable deposit Rs. 500 more because we will be keeping the carton overnight. Tired of quarrels we gave the deposit. I had my suspicions whether I will see my 500 again. The next three weeks I relentless called Sahara everyday - I have spoken to each of the crooks there - Bhaskar, Sumith, Bhuvana, Rashmi, Rahul etc and each will make me recite my story all over again and promise to send a guy in the next few hours.
Finally three weeks later the promised guys arrived. After they took the packing material and disassembled the cartons, they gave us Rs. 150 and said that Rs. 350 is towards the transportation charge of coming over to pick it up!.
The rest is history - we raised our decibel levels, shouted at Sumith who basically asked us to go to hell. We were helpless - wanted the cartons out of our way and could do nothing. Sumith went further and challenged us that we could keep the carton, transport it by ourselves to their office and then collect Rs.500 if we wanted...by then we had lost all our energy. I am still fuming and decided to write this in mouthshut. I wonder if we will have the energy to do anything further and ruing my fate why we didn’t read these reviews before we chose Sahara. IF there was a rating in minus scale, I would give these guys a -100. Stay away from them.
