Awesome

Gill pulls off a complex character with ease. The storyline is heavy on power struggles, double crossings and confrontations, with the protagonists trying to cling desperately to their fading glory. Guns are whipped out and fired at the slightest provocation.

The film has its share of problems, especially because of the sheer number of characters. Singh as Suhani is a treat to watch, but does little for the plot. Similarly, Khan as Shergill’s second wife Ranjana is wasted.

Bedi and Ali, who play supporting characters don’t lend much to the script and seem like unnecessary additions.

However, despite these hiccups, the crisp script and unpredictable narrative by writers Sanjay Chouhan and Dhulia keep the film afloat. The editing, which was a strong point of the first two films, is lackadaisical, while the music is largely forgettable.

Overall, the film takes the legacy of the trilogy forward, with some powerful performances and well-directed scenes.
