A trip down history

When I moved to Bangalore more than 5 years ago, one of the first restaurants people recommended me to was Sahib Singh Sultan. I have visited this restaurant several times ever since.

The restaurant is located in one of the busiest malls in Bangalore - Forum, Koramangala. But, once you are inside the restaurant, the ambience is calm. The highlight is the "Raj Era" train bogies. Kids will want to sit in the train.

The menu has been the same all these years but the quality or portion sizes has not diminished. The indian breads are great. The biryanis can also hold their own. The widest variety is in the starters and the main courses. The portion size for both the starters and main course are generous.

The service is good. If you are in doubt, the staff are competent enough to suggest the right dishes. It is always better to reserve in advance as it is always packed to the brim. Otherwise, the wait could be at least for 15-20 minutes.

My recommended dishes are the naans, biryanis, railway mutton curry and the kebabs.
