Train Food????!!!!!

Hello my dear fellow readers,

The place is in Koramangala, Forum.3rd floor I guess.Ok you are there now(and am sure you know how to get there, just yell around /ask a auto guy / ping me).

Now, please await your turn to go inside in the sofas outside.

Well, i’m not rich enough to come here, since our office folks decided we all go for a dinner, (in celebration of our project’s increasing economy and still not being Live!) I ended up here on a friday evening with high hopes.

We enter quickly because it was only 7PM. A word of caution here. Do not go on weekends and if you dont like to wait for food(I hate that!).Reach early and on odd hours, as we did.

We were a group of 8 guys. The first sight of the place is amazing. Truly marvellous interiors with good attention to detail. The pebbles under the tracks et all.The platform on one side and train on other with mirrors at one end to show as if it is boundless.. The train is very new(indian railways guys, please visit atleast one) and has ancient British touch in everything. The preferred place is inside the train where you can sit and enjoy a nice, romantic meal, u can even slide open the windows!

We all wanted to sit inside, luckily it was empty.Unluckily though, the host didnt want us to be seated there.Reason: Train seats would be preferred by people who come in small groups, which will increase after 8pm. My PM(prj. mgr)is a hard-headed guy and seeing our frowns, went up to the manager to request for train seats. He too refused. Now, it got a bit ugly and my PM said it wouldnt have mattered if we came in 2 groups of 8(tell me this makes sense). One low-on-patience guy said, ’Lets get out man!Who wants it!!!’. Rest didnt want to.

So, settled to platform seats. So, a minus... I strongly feel you should have the freedom to sit where you want..platform or train or on top of train!(chaiya chaiya)

Waiters give hot towels...felt I was on plane! Menu is quite ’’exotic’’.(read, normal food with wierd, un-heard, royal names). Am a veggie. So, ordered rotis and sabzi and a drink of sherbet. Quality was good. Very clean and they have these strange spices they add, really tasty.

Desserts are amazing, if you have a sweet tooth.

Place does get a bit noisy late evenings.

Paanwala gives tasty, costly paan.

1 word to describe. Visit once. If you dont, big deal.Climb on to any train from BLR_MYS.Ask me for some packed food, good cushions and I can be the waitress in funky attire!!!! This one even moves. he he he

If you are a middle class person, like me, read on.Else stop here.Review over.

BIIiiiiiiiig bucks man!!! you know my friend shelved out 500 bucks for 2 people. Only fit to go from office(like me) or with your boyfriend(no dutch) or with your girlfriend who is too crazy about you (and wants to impress you ;)).And if you want paan, please eat outside(u get 5 paans for 1 inside), then you can even spit on roads, like true indian...

And I say ’No’ to recommending, because I assume my ’friend’ is like me..
