Sahib Sindh Sultan has emerged as "THE" restaurant for eating North Indian food in bangalore. They are way ahead of restaurants which are even more expensive than them. That said, we had made a reservation for 3 people for 9:45 and still had to wait for 30 minutes before they could let us in. Since it was my anniversary, this really hurt. The Kebabs were the best I have had anywhere. The biryani and the curry was even better.
Some of the cons of the place are
Very long wait time. Even on my second visit, I made a reservation before showing up. and was made to wait for 20 minutes(which is an improvement of 10 minutes of the wait last time). This was when I showed up on time.
The mocktails and cocktails were very disappointing because they were extremely sweet(Even we had told them that we don’t like sweet drinks).
We ordered Lassi and Jal Jeera and very surprisingly they managed to ruin it.(Surprise!).
The bill was heavy on the pocket! but I will definitely visit again and this time around I won’t order drinks.
The service is very slow. And on one of the visits the waiter dipped his sleeve in my curry while serving.(The manager was prompt enough to provide us a new one when we brought the matter to his attention). but this was disappointing . after all you expect the waiters to have minimum amount of training so that they don’t dip their sleeves in the curry.
All in all, you can go to this place for good food. but very long wait times, bad service and horrible drinks continue to spoil the otherwise good experience.
