Having heard a lot about this place, we went for lunch ( we were 5 in all) on New Year. We reached the restaurant around 12.15pm and went in to make a reservation for 1 pm as it was quite early for lunch.
The receptionist told us that’s all the tables were booked after 12.45 pm so if we wanted a table we would have to move in then itself. We decided to do the same only to be led to a table of 4!!
On being reminded that we were 5 and not 4, the waiter casually told us that they can accommodate the 5th person later if any reservation is cancelled and until then we would have to adjust with a table for 4.
The shoddy service left us with no option but to walk off. They did not even make any effort to provide us with an alternate place.
I know it was a festive day and they were running chock-a-block but that should be no reason for compromising on service. If they did not have space, they should have cleared that at the very outset.
We certainly don’t belong to the cattle class to shove us around anywhere and everywhere.
If the management does not look into these nitty-gritties, they might just have to start squatting flies soon!
