Worst customercare and holds your money

I own a great Nokia Lumia 920 since last November and was waiting to have it available soon in India as I wanted one more. On searching on internet I found them to be releasing soon in India with message to put email id for notification when it became available.


I got an alert about 10 days ago that it is available. So I was probably first few customer who wanted to buy as site was saying it is available for order. However the add to cart button was nonfunctional at that moment, so I had to call to their customer care who was of no help but just conveyed to me that try after 2 hours as they have technical problem and also confirmed that indeed they have stock available for it. I then tried in afternoon, and all went well with estimated delivery in six working days (!!!!).


Now after almost 10 days and about 7 working days I am updated that due to circumstances beyond their control they are unable to ship this to me for next 7 days. They then also called me to confirm the delay and guy claiming calling from headquarters of SAholic told me that it is due to no stocks!, (then why the hell you deducted money and even notified that you have stocks?), he also confirmed (to my agony) that they have already full filed many orders for Lumia 920 and I was one of the unfortunate one as they ran out of inventory (I doubt this, mine would have been one of the first few order in India via saholic.com).


Now when I wanted to cancel it today, I received a call and told me that they have received the request and why I want to cancel? I recalled immediately that this is the same guy who spoke to me yesterday, so I told the same to him, he said ok, they are processing but on refund when I asked his answer was very very misleading, he said “We don’t have any control over payment gateway and we have yet not received your payment from payment gateway company which is HDFC (as per him), and it is their payment gateway company’s lookout now to refund me and it will take approx. 25 to 30 days” I said, that it your provider you manage with them, I paid to you so I should only be asking to you, on which he said he will send me an email with hdfc banker detail and which I can use to contact my credit card company for faster initiation, but again he said they cannot do anything in refund as it is being controlled by payment gateway company (HDFC). It was utter arrogance in talking to him and I was feeling (do hell with your payment, we will cancel now you are not our customer and why should we worry about you)


So I don’t really recommend this company to anyone for online shopping. They are one of the worst online company I have found doing ecommerce in India with regards to this experience.


Stay away!


For me, I didn’t get the product ordered, blocked my money (about 40K) for 45 days (which mean I have to pay to cc company as they can not refund early), and then the arrogant customer care!.
