I wanted to buy a Nokia E6-00 Black but none of the shops in Chennai were having it. While searching it online I found that saholic was selling it and the price was also good(this is the only time I was happy with saholic).
I did read the reviews on mouthshut.com, most of them positive so I ignored the negative ones thinking that "this cannot happen to me". I went ahead and ordered the black coloured E6. while ordering I noticed that the "cash on delivery" option was missing. I double checked and found that they disable it for medium to high valued products.
I was a little uncomfortable with this as saholic was an unknown site to me unlike ebay where I buy a lot of things. Still I went ahead and paid the amount in full.
After 2 days I get a call from them stating that Black color is not available and I can choose Silver or White. I chose Silver and told them several times that it should be either Silver or Black. The next day I log into their website and see that the color choice in my order shows as White. I immediately call their helpline(by the way don’t call them, its just waste of money) and tried to explain that I had ordered for Black and NOT white. they kept on telling me that I have ordered for White.
I got really angry and started shouting at them, they immediately changed their statement and told that they will send me a Silver colored one. But they sent me the handset. It was a Dec 2011 piece. the box was old and worn out at the edges. I opened the box to check the color and as expected they had sent me the white colored one. I immediately raised a return request and also called them to inform this.
It took me 2 full days of several calls and multiple posts on facebook to make them understand thier mistake. somehow they accepted their mistake and were willing to take back the handset. I immediately sent it back to them. they call me back and told me that I have opened the box and they will not accept it. I tried explaining them that I only opened it to check the color and did not open the sealed handset, they did did not accept it and sent me back the same handset.
It was returned to me in the most pathetic condition. The box was even more damaged. The handset was taken out of its cover, accessories were strewn all over the box. They didn’t even return the invoice I had sent back. Luckily I had taken a couple of photocopies.
Please DO NOT buy from saholic, offlate a lot of similar horror storeis are appearing in facebook and mouthshut. Its nice to by from a reputed dealer at your city. For a few hundred rupees you will lose your peace of mind.
