I gave my bike for service to Sai Service on 14-Jul-2010, at Shivaji Nagar.I believe I could negative ratings.
This review is to help the other Pulsar 220 owners and Bajaj group to understand the sorry state which Pune City is in. I believe a cycle repair shop would be a better option than Sai Service to get your bike serviced. I would rather get the warranty void on my bike than get my bike serviced again at Sai Service. My bike had done 40k+ kms and this is the perhaps the first time I hate riding my bike.
When I gave my bike for service, my bike had a little issues of vibrations coming from front fairing (fibre), I asked them to fix it. But when I picked my bike after 2 days (they had committed for next day delivery, but took two days to get service done, that too after numerous calls to get it done), it had noise coming in from rear, improper braking and front fairing sounded like a rickshaw. I took the bike again and instead of fixing it, they said it’s normal. All the noises are perfectly normal and a bike this old will have all these noises. I said I had ridden this bike for over 40k kms and how did these noises cropped up suddenly. However instead of all the drama, nothing resolved. The bike sounds like a dying ** and I have to wear noise cancelling headsets to save myself from the pain. Sai service neither has the equipment nor the personnel who have knowledge on P-220. If anyone has information about a decent probiking service center in Pune please let me know. If the guys from Bajaj are reading this review, please save Pune from the menace of Sai Service Center, if possible re-open the Shirode Service or let us know if there’s any proper service center in Pune.
