I had booked a Maruti Swift Glam (Goldsmith Black) on the 14th of Aug as a gift for my dad from Sai Sevice Goregaon(W). I had informed the dealer(Mr.Onis Pereira) that I want the delivery between 19-24 September since my dads bday is on the 24th. Now the dealer went ahead and alloted someones car to me on the 21st Aug, even though he knew my delivery request.
He called me & asked if I wanted to pick the car & I said tht id only get the car tht Ive booked once its in the showroom. I did not hear from the dealer for the next 2 weeks. On the 5th of Sep, the dealer called me again & said that my car has been de-alloted & I would get the car in two weeks only if I make the full payment in advance. As far as I know the full payment should only be made once the car is in the showroom, I dont know what the dealer was upto. Also if my car was de-alloted on the 21st then why did the dealer wait till the 5th to contact me??
Now I talked to the manager Mr. Vishwanath Shetty from Sai Service yesterday who was very courteous. He promised me that hell look into the issue & get my car re-alloted. Today after calling the manager Mr. Shetty twice, he informed me that maruti has discontinued the colour goldsmith black & offered me a Vxi. Now if I wanted a Vxi, Id have booked that but I was interested in a goldsmith black Glam. Now because of my dealers lack of information & communication, I have lost out on the car I was planning to buy for my dad. I would really appreciate strict action against dealers like Mr. Pereira who are giving Maruti a bad name.
I am totally confused & lacking ideas as to what can be done next. Sai Service has ruined my plans even though I had booked my car well in advance to avoid these hassles. I wouldnt recommend Sai Service to anyone, if you dont have a choice avoid dealing with Mr.Onis Pereira. He is an utterly useless fool with complete lack of information & manners.
