I have SLE since last fifteen years. Went for follow ups every two or three months with Dr. Dharmanand. Since May 2016 I have been constantly complaining about frequent headaches, backaches and neck pain. He couldn’t suggest an MRI instead he said I was psychologically unstable. He gave me some anxiety pills and asked me to take Dolo 650 as many as needed. It was my mistake. I should have looked for a better doctor. Later in Nov 2016 I got admitted in Fortis hospital and was diagnosed with transverse myelitis. By then I was paralysed neck below. Doctors had no hope as I was on ventilator. Then I started recovering really slow. Now recently heard from a doctor that Sakra has a good physiotherapy rehabilitation center. Me and my husband visited the head of the department Mr.Maheshwarappa who just ignored my case before he could even listen to what me as a patient has to say. At least we took time to travel till there, paid him Rs.800 just to spend 10 minutes with him. My husband was trying to get me some best available resources in Bangalore while Mr.Maheshwarappa gave me a silly laugh stating there is nothing at Sakra that I was worth trying. While the patient is ready to make time and money available for even the slightest recovery possible, the doctors are so irresponsible. I will never suggest Sakra again to anybody.
