Salarjung Museum is located in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the three National Museum of India. I have visited this museum 2 years ago in my vacation. I had never seen any Museum like this. Its entry fees was very cheap. We hired a Guide and he tells us each and every thing about this museum. It has a collection of sculptures, paintings, carvings, manuscripts, textiles, metallic artifact, clocks, caarpets, etc. from most of the countries like China, Japan, Egypt, Nepal, etc.
Salarjung Museum has the largest one man collection of antiques in the world. It consists of many Indian historical things like Auranzeb’s Sword, A Tiffin Box made of gold and diamond, and so many things like this. The Museum has famous collection of Quran from all over the world. Written with gold and silver and also religious books collection.
The Museum has 2 floors and 38 galleries. 20 galleries at ground floor and 18 galleries at 1st floor. The Museum is semicircular in shape. It is a very good Museum and must to visit but hire a guide otherwise you can’t understand the importance of the artifacts.
