Not to be missed

How come no one ever rated this lovely museum...I am glad to be rating this first....This museum showcases collection of Salar Jung who used to be a Vazir(I guess I am right)

The museum is easily accessible and there is plenty of parking available...You can also get water, chips etc for munching in a cafeteria

The collection in the entire museum was done primarily by one guy(SalarJung) and it is awesome...No doubt the guy had all the money in the world to buy things but YOU ALSO NEED TASTE(which he had in plenty)

The museum has various sections(ivory, woodcarvings, porcelain, chinese artefacts, african artefacts, egyptian artefacts, manusripts and paintings, furniture and so on). Each of these sections is a virtual treat(you got to seee it to believe it)...Some of the carvings show intricate details that you wonder ’’how was it done’’...Some miniature paintings are so minute and have many paintings inside one...IF ANY OF YOU LIKES OLD PERIOD FURNITURE go there and copy the lovely designs...I got my chairs designed(oops copied) from there...The porcelain section has Japanese and Chinese stuff dating back centuries....In the ivory section there is a cloth woven out of ivory thread(what did I tell you ...it is awesome)

NOT TO BE MISSED

If you are going there please dont miss...The Veiled Rebecca(It was done by an Italian artist and there are only two in the world...one in Italy and the other you know where)...It is a lifesize statue of rebecca carved in marbel andthe veil also is carved but it looks like a real piece of cloth(you can watch it for hours and wont get tired)

Second is the alarm clock(go at 11.30 and occupy your seats)..At 12 this guy comes out of a hut...walks....picks a hammer and bangs it 12 times on a tong...and than goes back...Amazing that this watch still works after so many years...I forgot there is also a watch section

One of the best museums I have ever seen...Just wish it was kept as well as some of those European museums
