Recently launched Salora DVD 2270 player is an excellent product and an eye opener for big-wigs who think good quality DVD player are still expensive. It has Dolby and DTS 5.1 output, 7 step Slow motion, 7 step zoom, crystal clear picture and sound, all possible audio and video out like component / composite, coaxial, S-video, 5.1 channel, optical and even a VGA out. Sound can be downmixed.
It plays most forms of disks even Kodak and JPEG photo disks with special effects. Both of your kids can demonstrate their singing talents simultaneously since it has two Karaoke Mic setup.
I asked the dukanwala to get a fully scratched CD and play on this DVD player and as expected, it played the CD without difiiculty.
Before buying get it tested with a 5.1 speaker system and you will understand what am I trying to say.
The set is very slim and sleek. It doest not have those cheap looking lights and gaudy buttons. The remote is full function and very powerful. Layout and setup is user freindly.
Well I have been searching and researching about DVD players and tested players from LG, Philips, Sony, Samsung, Oscra, Onida etc. Except Oscar 9300 none of the sets have all the latest features together. It seems it is their policy to confuse customer by not giving all features in one. But Oscar 9300 is out of production now as they have told me.
Finally the Salora DVD 2270 is also having a power resume function and you know how useful it is.
What price should we pay for this DVD player ? Hold your breath... I purchased it for Rs 3700/- at Ranchi (New one Guru, not secondhand).
