Last 4-5 months I have been hearing a lot about samarkand, but it did not live up to its expectations when I went there.
I had a good variety ranging from both veg to non veg on my table, but except for the biryani, I disliked everything else.
Some cons:
The mutton ran and chicken peshawari were horrible!
The raita that comes with the biryani was sweet. The only thing I could taste in the mutton seekh kebab was elaichi. Murgh malai tikka was ok, but nothing great. On the other hand, the vegetarians were doing ok. The paneer tikka was good, but it is really difficult to screw paneer tikka.
The seating also was a little uncomfortable. If you need more space to park yourself than normal, you might have a tough time :)

*I cant recall anything good from my visit except for the green chutney and customer service. The ambience is good, but as I said the seating might be a problem.
This place is expensive and totally not worth it. I would never recommend this to anyone. The only thing I loved about the place is Green Chutney.
