Lil Mexico at Home :)

Sammy Sosa was introduced to me by a very good friend in 2013, with whom I, for the first time, discovered completely new flavors at SS. But today I write about my visit to Sammy in 2014. And needless to say my evening was fabulous as ever!

As soon as we entered the head of the staff escorted us to our table and asked us if we were comfortable and well seated. As soon as we settled, he came over personally to hand us this delicious lemongrass flavored shot saying, “This is for our guests to beat the heat” impressed by their hospitality, we asked them to recommend dinner for us. We started off with Corn flakes crusted chicken, which were reasonably good with virgin margarita’s to go with, which were divine! Fisher Man’s Catch and Rich Onion Chicken followed. Both dishes were impeccably prepared and we must add we silently ate without any chitter-chatter. We wanted to have 2 distinct flavours and we indeed did! The oreo cheesecake though was just about ok, and I think they should stick to keeping even the desserts of Mexican origin.

For the price, Sammy’s does well. At 360, 410 and 450, Sammy Sosa offers you classy delectable Mexican food to die for. We usually try to avoid places that charge a service charge in their bills, but at Sammy’s, we absolutely don’t mind. They welcome you like it’s their home, constantly checking whether the food is up to your expectations.

The ambience is fun and refreshing. Music is a tad bit loud, but the numbers played were fantastic, keeping us in the groove. For a relatively small joint Sammy Sosa’s delivers beyond expectations.
