Bought Samsung UHD 55inch TV ku6470 on independence day offer in August 2016, from Lotus electronic, Sultana Road, Bhopal. They told me that under the offer you will get 1+1 year warranty. It means full warranty for first year and only on panel in second year. On 31 July 2018, my TV developed a line in display. As it was in warranty, I contacted Samsung and Lotus. Samsung refused service on grounds that my TV doesn’t enjoy extended warranty. Initially they said that in 2016 Aug there were no such offers. Later when I mailed them there promotion, they said, same Model in 40 inch carries 2 year warranty, not in 55inch. Lotus people forgot anything they said about warranty. Now Samsung wants me to pay 32000 to change panel.
So guys, lesson learnt.
1) Don’t buy expensive Samsung TV.
2) if you want to buy from lotus, take a handcam with you and record everything they claim. They will not give anything in writing, beware.
3) Buy brands with extended warranty in writing or brands like MI TV, which give Same quality at one third price. Instead of spending 32000+ service charges, I can buy a new MI TV, UHD, at 44500 for 55 inch.
Thanks, avoid making these brands like Samsung rich as electronic things are unreliable, as per their own version. Why shell out 3 times price.
