I purchased a 1.5 ton Sumsung split airconditioner sometime in the begining of April 2009 hoping for some relief from summer heat. Right from day one, the piece has not cooled my room even by 1/2 a degree. The guys from Samsung told me, upon inspection, that the refrigerent gas has leaked out due to faulty fitting. They took about a week to replace the same. T
his was done reluctantly by Samsung, that too after I got after them to do the needful. All my hopes of getting value for money again, disappered into thin air when the a/c started malfunctioning the second time by not cooling the room enough and also emitting some strange noise. Now, Samsung says it is a compressor fault and will have the same replaced. It has only been a month and a half since I made the second complaint and their promises of either calling you or doing the needful is a big farce. I have even offered to pay the difference if they can replace the unit, if so required. They couldnt care less. In between all this, Samsung has the audacity to tell me that I have been supplied a faulty unit by the dealer from whom the purchase was made and I need to contact him to rectify/replace it.
Im at my wits end not knowing which side to head as I do not have the time or the inclination to fight it out in courts/consumer forums. It may be safetly concluded that Samsung is only after your money and their after-sales and customer satisfaction is very low priority for them. Buy Samsung at your own peril.
