Samsung Personnel- kindly intervene

We had bought a Samsung Microwave Oven 6 years back. It had been functioning well throughout. However, on July 14th’ 2009, the switches stopped functioning. we contacted the service center in Bhubaneswar immediately.


The service engineer/technician who inspected it, said that the CPU of the control panel has been damaged and has to be replaced. He took the faulty spare part with him and promised to return after 4-5 days with a new spare part from Kolkata. After 16 days, when we contacted him again, he said the spare part was not available in Kolkata.


Therefore they will get it from their service center in Mumbai. Further, since it was not available in Mumbai service center also, they said there is a dealer in Mumbai who might be having the exact thing. However, since there are 3 such requirements from the city alone, they cannot be certain that the spare part will be made available to us only. For the last 16 days, neither the concerned service center informed us about the situation, not did they come up with a solution to our problem. This has created a lot of inconvenience for our aged parents, who use the microwave oven most often.


Most of the products in our home are from Samsung. If this would be the service, then our trust on Samsung produts will be difficult to remain intact. We will not even suggest others to buy Samsung products in future. If this review is being read by Samsung Personnel, Kindly intervene and solve the problem.
