Poor Quality Product and Very poor service

I bought a samsung microwave in November 2007. I have my own reasons for the choice like well known brand, very good features, good looks and newer technology. LG was my alternate choice, but I was impressed with the samsung’s features and bought it.


But I was really shocked to see the performance of my samsung microwave. It is having some major problem, two days also we couldnt use it. In grill mode, within few seconds itself our home power was tripping. So this is my pathetic story of buying a microwave.


Now more wonderful is the service offered by samsung. The problem was registered in the samsung customer care about 9-10 days back. Nobody turned up, after several phone calls to the customer care and to the service engineer, one day a service engineer turned up.


He checked the microwave and he told grill is bursted and it should be replaced. Then problem can be solved and he adviced not to use the microwave until he finishes the work. He promised to comeback on the next day and do the replacement of the grill. But till date he didnt come for the repair and the samsung customer care dont value their customers. They dont have the courtsey to keep their customers updated about the status of the complaint.


So it is like I bought a show piece for my kitchen paying so much money and it is lying in the kitchen useless. When I newly bought an appliance it should be useful to me. If it is problematic, company should either replace it or repair it. But samsung is not bothered about both.


Few words to the samsung customer care people, dont know whether u will read this review anyday. The growth of any brand is from their customers. It is disheartening that a company like samsung dont value their customers.


Addition to old review on 02 Jan 2008


Finally the day came for me to edit my previous review. I would like to start from where I stopped in the earlier review. So like that days were passing calling samsung customer care and waiting for the repair to happen. I got some phone nos of customer care Bangalore division. So I started calling to Bangalore division and stopped calling the call center in Delhi.


First few days they asked for time, since the part was out of stock. Then after the suggested date also they were not able to get the part. Since our microwave was a brand new one . I suggested for a replacement. They agreed, eventhen hide and seek game was going on. They never used to keep their promises. I made atleast a minimum of 100 phone calls to different people in one month, at an average of minimum 4 phone calls per day . They used to make excuses and used to tell they will callback after a while. But never used to callback.


Anyway I didnt give up my patience. I waited and waited  and finally the good day came on Dec 17 and they finally replaced the microwave oven and took back old damaged one.


So now about the performance of the microwave. I am 90% satisfied about the performance of the microwave. I used it few times in these days. I think I can recommend this to others provided if they get a perfect damage free set. I edited my review since I felt it will not be good on my part if I am not telling the whole truth.
