After much consideration, we bought this Samsung Dishwasher recently. After chasing the Samsung people for full three days after the purchase, they found time to come home for installation.( Though the dealer assured us next day installation). Pathetic service.
Another big disappointment:
Dishwasher came with only two tablets of Finish Powerball Detergent Tablets. So first two washes were quite good, but after these tablets finished, we bought the Finish Detergent Powder.Filled the salt chamber with Finish Dishwasher Salt, and Finish Rinse Aid, but this time the dishes came out covered with a white film, not sparkling clean. What a great disappointment?
After 4 days of registering the complaints with Samsung Customer Care, the person came home and announced it to be due to Hard water of our area.While purchasing the dishwasher at the local Samsung dealer, who knows that NOIDA’s water is hard, he did not caution us about it. Now we are feeling cheated, as the whole purpose of getting sparkling clean utensils is defeated.
Samsung people advise us for using only Finish Quantum Powerball tablets, but even in Delhi and NCR’s superstores they are not available.
Even on eBay India, they are available for 48 Rs each tablet( Very Expensive) and are shipped from USA, taking 15 to 20 days minimum. What is the use of a dishwasher, when we can not use it in our area? and the recommended Detergent tablets not available.
So with this post I want to caution all prospective buyers that Samsung Dishwashers are not suitable for Hard water areas, as it would leave a white film after the wash, and Samsung Customer Care is not helpful in resolving the issue, citing it to be due to Hard Water.
My suggestions to Samsung Company:
1/ Tighten your service team to install the machine ASAP after purchase, no body likes waiting after the purchase.
2/ If the area has hard water, caution the buyer about the possible problems, do not try to impose a machine, which can not be used because of hard water. Unless you have a solution to resolve it. Though your machine comes with a water softener, but despite that there is a white film on the utensils.
3/ And if you are recommending use of Finish Powerball Tablets, make them available for purchase at your service centre or dealer. Have an arrangement with the Finish company to supply these Detergent tablets to your service centers or dealer.
Other wise what is the use of an appliance, if it can not be used, either because of hard water or non availability of recommended detergent.
