This review is about Samsung Blu-Ray player.
I purchased a Samsung smart Blu Ray player to watch old DVDs and YouTube and other streaming apps. Prior to purchasing this product, Samsung customer care confirmed that their brand provides 1-year warranty for all products purchased in India.
Sadly since the very first day there have been lots of problems in this player such as hanging of Youtube, sudden restarting of the player, low wifi speeds, a few to say.
Upon contacting customer care, Samsung technician visited the site, inspected the player and informed that it is actually Malaysian make and that it will not be covered under warranty in India. I contacted Samsung customer care and explained to them that it is not my mistake since I happened to purchase this unit in an Indian store.
However, even after multiple attempts Samsung refused to provide warranty stating that theirbrand policy prevents them from providing warranty to foreign models. During my interaction with Samsung agent, when I tried explaining to him that I was promised a one-year warranty the agent informed me that I was not beingprofessional enough and that he would disconnect the call from his end if I continued to do so.
I am very disappointed with this attitude of Samsung and never expected this from the worlds largest and highest-rated electronics brand.
Samsung has proven that they care for their customers only till they grow profitably and create trust in the hearts of their consumers. Since they have already achieved this, they never care for their customers anymore.
Stay away from Samsung products and the brands false promises!
