I bought the Samsung Guru E1410. My requirements were absolutely clear. I didnt want a camera support as I always rely on my digicam to do a better job;-). I just wanted a basic phone with great battery life and audio quality in a budget of 3K. GURU was the answer!. The sound quality really rocks! You cant go beyond 50% of volume with headphones on. The speakers are also loud and clear. I have been using for 3 days and still the battery is not ready to give up!
Positives according to me are its sound quality, battery life, packaging(Free 1GB card, stereo earphones inside the box), one key press to play FM radio or MP3 player, FM recording, bluetooth.
Limitations I feel are the lack of camera, lower inbuilt memory(only 4 MB), not great display. It expects the ringtone to be set resides in internal memory. So u cannot set MP3 files greater than 4MB as ringtone. However these were not of much importance to me.
I went for this as it meets my requirements 100%.Also similar phones(for eg Motorla W230) dont provide 1GB cards in the box. You have to buy them separately. Not only that, GURU is far superior in terms of audio quality and battery life when compared to phones of similar type/features in similar segment.
In summary its a basic phone targeted towads music lovers and lazy bones who dont want to charge their phone often. Given its pricing and what its offering, its an absolute value for your money.
