Right upfront, let me tell you - I just wanted a good phone, thats it. The camera, video quality, audio playback and other bells and whistles didnt matter. Thats why I am disappointed.
First up, this phone is clunky, really clunky. It doesnt fit comfortably in an average pocket. And its heavier than standard phones.
Its slow - goes into hang mode quite often. Touch sensitivity isnt great.
But what bothers me the most is its intrusiveness. There are times when I have an important call slated for a specific time. Mr Phone decides on its on that its time to update the software. You cant use the phone for the next 7 to 10 minutes. if youre lucky; sometimes it takes 12 to 15 minutes. It downloads the updates. Then it installs the updates. Then it optimizes stuff(God knows what!) Then it checks this and checks that. Just goes on and on.
The really irritating thing is that the phone insists that you create a Samsung Account to "get exclusive access to Samsung Services.". This reminder is constantly there on the screen - there is no way to dismiss it. Arre baba, I dont want exclusive access to the stupid services!
So - in the final analysis - would I buy(or recommend) another Samsung phone? No, never! I am already looking at Motorola, Nokia, Asus and other alternatives.
