Samsung Galaxy A7( 2016 Edition) is a midrange smartphone by Samsung priced at 33500 available in India.
The handset packs in features like 5.5 inches 1080p SuperAmoled display, 3 GB RAM, Exynos 7580 Octacore chipset clocked at 1.6 GHz wid Mali T720 GPU, 16 gb internal storage, 3300 mAh battery, 13mp rear cam with OIS and 5mp front cam, Dual SIM slots and MicroSD card and Android Lollipop .
Build:
Build quality is among the best I have seen! Full unibody design with glass at the back . Though it’s a large phone but it really feels very easy to hold in single hand . Weight distribution is very good
And feel of the device is very premium like .
Screen Quality:
Screen quality is very good, though it is just a 1080p screen, the SuperAmoled panel that Samsung has provided makes it look amazing! Colours look punchy and pleasing to the eyes.
UI: Android 5.1.1 with the new Touchwiz UI on top, no lagginess, very snappy, very responsive, minimum bloatware and a bunch of useful Microsoft apps are provided . Definitely one of the best skins on Android today! There is also multiwindow support on this device .
Battery Life:
Battery life I got with the device was nothing short of incredible! . The device on full charge lastd me nearly 1-1.5 days very easily . It gave me nearby 6-7 hours of SOT . Fast charging is also supported and infact Samsung bundles a fastcharger with the device .
Performance n Gaming:
Apps switching is easy n lucid, Gaming is not good on this device! Problem arises with same old chipset used( same as on galaxy J7) which now has to make the GPU even harder to power the 1080p screen pixels ultimately resulting in frame drops and lagginess .
Camera:
Rear cam is very good in natural n outdoor conditions, struggles in indoor n artificial lighting, OIS is supported, Front cam is also good . 4K recording is not supported . Camera quality is above average .
Pros:
Amazing screen quality for the price. Awesome build quality .Cellular reception n call quality is excellent . Incredible battery life . Good camera and USB OTG is supported . A proper dual SIM phone( 2 sims+ microSD) . Supports Fast Charging . Sngle speaker audio quality is loud and clear .
Cons:
There is absolutely no grip, very slippery device .Samsung has skipped even the basic sensors like auto-brightness, compass n gyro . No LED notification light .Gaming performance is not good .Fingerprint Sensor is quite slow n not much accurate( 6 out of 10 times) . Cost is pretty high Rs. 33500
Overall it is a good device considering the specs it offers but is quite on the costlier side . If u are brand conscious and want a phone with incredible battery life and good screen quality coupled with a good camera then this phone is for you . This expensive midranger I’d definitely not recommend for the gamers .
The price to performance ratio not good on this device .Instead i’d suggest that u go for Galaxy S6 cuz it offers much more for the price!
