Having picked up this phone a couple of months ago, I am trying to make the most of it. I keep trying the free apps available in the Android market. Some of them are amazing–eBuddy for chat, TeamViewer for remote PC access and the Pool Master for gaming, etc.
The capacitive touch screen is fantastic. Browsing with 3G connectivity is an enjoyable experience on this snazzy device. The sound fidelity is good. I listen to the radio everyday. The battery charging time is pretty less though it drains out in a day.
Of course, it depends on the usage. I feel that the phone has a few drawbacks also, though I understand that tastes vary. First of all, it’s really difficult to remove the back cover. Samsung could have also done away with that ‘dragging with the thumb’ option(moving from left to right to open the phone and also for receiving a call).
Now I need to press the button on the top right hand side, and then do the dragging to access the main screen. That’s too cumbersome. I think your main screen should be accessible with just one click or a touch. Also, I am not too happy with its video streaming capabilities; YouTube is damn slow. Lastly, the concept of resorting to factory settings for removing your Google apps is a really bad idea.
To sum it up, I reckon it’s a great business cum entertainment phone to wield–especially for guys(like me) who work for online marketing companies. I need to be online every time, and this device serves that purpose. It’s worth the money you pay for. If you think an iPhone, Nokia E7, or a Motorola Milestone is not within your budget, and you want to experience mobile computing, this is the best option. Hats off to Google for making Android a success.
