Bought on April 2014

The specs are-

-Dual core 1.2 GHz processor.

-Still running on android Jellybean.

-A qHD not QHD/quad HD 4 inch screen. Brightness is very low.

-A very weak gpu.

-Poor battery life. Only 1800mAh capacity. Battery life 6 hrs at regular use but if you used 3G internet with GPS in Google Maps together the battery would go from a 100% to 0% with in 3 hours.

-Camera performance is good.

-Overheating and lag issues.

-Not even one firmware update till March 2016.

When I contacted the customer service they told me to install a custom rom. Redmi services are far better as they provide updates constantly.

-plastic built.

-Dual sim phone. Both slots are micro sim and supports 3G.

-MicroSD card slot available.

-No gyroscope.  That means say bye bye to VR head set.

-Game and multi tasking is hard as it lags and there is over heating above 46 degree Celsius.

-Call quality and signal reception is good.

-speaker are nice. Works well but not noud.

-The plastic outer silver lining running along the side got black with in half year of use.

-Takes 3-5 hours to charge complete using the stock charger.

-Not meant for budget friendly user, the price to performance ratio is very high ie lower it is best it should be.

I bought it for 8990 rupees as it actually costs 10, 990 at that time. During that period dual core phones were reasonable at this price, as other brands like Micromax, Nokia, Lava etc . were not good enough as compared to Samsung Mobile on the platform of performance and services.

But if you compare the phone now with others, like Redmi, Yu series, Infocus,  etc. it would be like comparing a cat and tiger.

If you look in flipkart.com you can still find it for approximately 9000 rupees but it’s for those who have no more place to keep their money and want to waste it on junks.

If I was made to give a review during the time I bought it I would have given it 4.5/5 as it was really hard to find a phone during that time, but now situation has changed,  now people can buy a more powerful phone than this at just rupees 4000-6000 range.

I still have this phone and I am using it for lite tasks like calling, whatsapp etc.

It can run few games like Red Ball 4, even 3D games like The Respawnables, Asphalt 8  at lowest settings but it goes very hot.
