Samsung the brand known for its innovation in their high end smartphone amd main arch rival of Apple consider as the top ranked smartphone manufacturers in world.
But from last few years it’s face arguments from tech people’s as they only focus on high end smartphone and people who prefer Samsung due to its brand value but not want to pay high value consider their budget phone which still at high cost compared with xiaomi and lenovo.
Samsung Galaxy Grand prime is that budget phone which was launched in September 2014 although Grand amd Prime itself a high meaning word but it was launched at 13k in 2014 as of now you can bring this for yourself at Ruppees 10, 000. Is it still a good buy. Let’s check it out.
Design
Samsung known for keep their smartphone design same as their high end smartphone due to this they face high arguments as per the design Samsung Galaxy Grand prime follows same design formula as they applied for Samsung Galaxy A series smartphone
On front panel there is 5 inch screen and SAMSUNG brand logo with speaker grill and sensors and front 5 MP camera along with it and at the bottom of screen typical Samsung’s home key along touch sensitive key for accessing back and multitasking tray, and back panel there is 8MP camera lens with LED flash light and speaker and SAMSUNG logo. On TOP of the phone there is 3.5mm jack and on bottom USB charging slot, volume key on left and Power key on right.
Software and Specification
Galaxy grand prime supports 5 inch screen having 540×960 pixel. It is powered by Qualcomm snapdragon 410 clocked at 1.2 Ghz although came with Android 4.4.4 out of the box but now 5.0 available for upgrade. The Phone comes with 1 GB of RAM and ANDRENO 306 for gaming. For storage it has 8GB inbuilt storage with micro sd card expansion upto 64 GB. It has 8 MP rear and 5MP front camera for better quality pictures, both can capture 1080p recording. It is backed up by 2600 mah battery.
What I like
Samsung Grand prime has limited thing which individual can like. First is it’s Camera both lens captures good quality images and Display quality which is good although it is nor HD but screen still looks sharp and clear enough and ultra power saving mode.
What I don’t like
Speaker quality I miss many phone call even the volume is at full level and phone is near with me. Memory management is very bad due to this it hangs up very quickly and heats up too. Samsung has to learn from xiaomi how to make quality budget smartphone.
