The phone is good and beautiful/stylish. Pros: 1. Brilliant Display 2. Smart features of Data saver - I havent verified its real usability yet 3. Ultra Power saver mode - however, phone turns in to a basic i.e. Phone/SMS only and internet limited to android browser. Very much useful when battery low. 4. Both SIMs support 3G/LTE(ofcourse any one at a time). Specs are satisfactory.
However I found the following shortfalls as compared to similar(price/specs) range products like Redmi2/MMX Spark(which I have used). CONS: 1. The Charger cable is fixed(with adapter) and very short. We cannot remove the cable from adapter for USB connection and No separate USB cable in the box.
There is no notification LED. Worst is that there is no light indication even for battery charging. One has to tap the phone/press power key and check the battery status during charging.
The GUI of Redmi is very good with many inbuilt features like display connection speed, easy to use screenshot from menu, Onetouch RAM clean, App permissions manager etc. However, The GUI of J2 is not having such useful features inbuilt. We have to depend on the Play store Apps for such features. 4. The back cover is very very thin. Handle carefully. The soft edges get damaged with your nails when opening the cover. Not suitable if you have to open the cover many times.
