I purchased this phone from a shop and writing this review after 15 days of usage.
First of all I would like to mention in brief about my previous phone and why I chose Samsung.I had been using Samsung Galaxy S2 for the past 4.5 years and it never visited any service center nor it was ever formatted and always behaved like a true flagship ! However, with the arrival of 4G, it was time for a change and I went for Samsung again. But this time I restricted my budget to 15-16k.
Why I purchased this phone ?
Separate slots for 2 micro sim cards and a micro sd card > No fuss such as hybrid combo n all.
Removable battery > Every battery becomes weak after some time and I don’t like to carry power bank. Change the battery and phone will have renewed energy.
Amoled screen > Having used Galaxy S2 for quite a long time , I am used to Amoled screens and this one is even better. Though its not 1080p, still it has lots of details , rich black and punchy colours.
3300 mAh battery and ultra power saving mode : )
Whats’s good ?
Battery backup.
Gaming experience : Amoled offer punchy colours and games like NFS can be played without any lag.
Watching Video and surfing net : Thanks to large Amoled screen .
Call quality : Its really good and voice is clearly audible.
Camera : Performs well both in outdoors and indoors in good lighting conditions. Selfies can be taken in pitch dark too due to front led.
No problem in taking selfie in parties !
- Separate 2 micro sim+ 1 micro sd card slot.
What isn’t good ?
- Sound through external speaker is too low. The sound output through headphones is just okay.
So music lovers , avoid this phone.
2.The camera quality isn’t good in low light . It’s a J7 and not S7 !
3.The phone’s look is typical Samsung and nothing much to write about . The gold version looks likable though.
4.No gorilla glass. Make sure to get a tempered glass on the screen as soon you buy the phone.
Phone misses out on other things such as fingerprint scanner, IR blaster etc. but such things aren’ t my requirement.
It doesn’t have quick-charge but it charges from 10% to 100% within 2.5 hrs , which is not bad at all.
Overall it’s a decent phone.
For those who like to play games, watch videos and surf the net , they will definitely love this phone. Camera quality is decent too.
For those who are music lovers and would take pics frequently in low light, avoid this phone.
