J7 battery life is better , removable battery and Marshmallow out of the box. J7 is better for gaming cuz the gpu have to push 720p. If u want the extra features like fingerprint scanner , light sensor , Corning Gorilla Glass 4 then go to A7 . In my opinion J7 is more practical.
