Samsung Galaxy Note

All-in-One gadget but then its not without limitat

I got this phone on March 12, 2011. Its sheer size was so appealing that this alone factor along with some good marketing by Samsung got me in to buying this. After buying I realized that there was more in it than why I bought this one.

Of course I do not need a PC for my daily stuff now. I am a iOS user since long but Android on Note feels really superb. I read news, books play games, movies, YouTube, everything now on it without missing my PC.

Pros-

1.A gaming device? An internet center? A camera? A music player? A Tablet? Whatever u call it.Everything is simply great.

  1. Screen is superb. It is~285ppi, iPhone has~330ppi. But then it really does not make difference. By really, I really mean really.

  2. I got a flip cover free, which is really cool as well as usefull.

  3. ICS update is expected very soon.

  4. Powerful processor-1.4Ghz Dual Core(Really?:D)

  5. Enough RAM(800 MB It never feels slow despite of any number of running apps.

  6. S.Pen is useful only if you need it. Otherwise after first few days one would not actually use it. Response is brilliant though.

  7. It is not THAT big. You can easily use it. In fact after using it for few days, now the iPhone and Galaxy SII looks so tiny to me:D:p

  8. Blah Blah Blah

Cons

Well.the real deal-

  1. Battery sucks. One can expect only 1-day backup. I leave home at around 9.30 and return at 8 p.m. Usualy it shows 20-25% battery left which runs empty when I wake up next morning. So you have to charge it frequently. If you are a power user it will go away by evening, say 9-10 hrs. But then not all of us will use it as "heavy power user"(like heavy GPS/Maps use, WiFi, 3G or have gaming.)

  2. You have to remove the battery to remove/insert the memory card.

  3. Handsfree is "good", but for a phone of such price one can expect it to be at least "very good". But then competitors fare no better. A bluetooth handsfree would be always a "welcome":).

All in all I am very very satisfied with the device despite of that it made me poorer by few tens of grands:D:p
