I bought Samsung Galaxy S2, Model name: GT-I9100 after careful evaluation of the innovative features it was offering over iphone4.
To my surprise, while it offers most amazing features, the in call volume was unbelievably low…lower than any mobile/ handsets I hv used in the last 14 years…much less than the INR 1k phone that I bought for my kid also.
I couldn’t believe it.and that’s why I kept it with me to try out~10 days, and I failed again and again in most of my calls & conference calls.it became a pain to take any call of more than 15 minutes from it…Due to travel restriction & handling global role, I’m expected to take the 3-4 hours calls(ISD/ Conference, all sort) every day.and I was doing the same with my earlier mobile Blackberry 8520 for last couple of years without any issue.
I have given the handset to SAMSUNG service station "Telenet services @Koramangala, Bangalore" for repairing the in call volume.they also failed to do much to the satisfaction.and shared that this is the std volume/problem with the S2 Series.Also talked to Area Manager, Samsung to resolve the problem as I hv already put lot of precious time to explore this model.
Needless to say, I hv spent 3-4 days in configuring all my apps & mail boxes on this.and after 15 days of efforts…I’m at the same place from where I started.
I’ve applied for a refund for this now. to avoid further frustration.
