With the Samsung Galaxy S III(S3), Samsung has done it again. It is one of highest selling smart phones in today’s market all around the world.
The 4.8in device is one of the most highly anticipated Android devices of 2012.In comparison to Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3 has many exciting features, gestures, enhanced specifications, an upgraded OS i.e(4.0.4) Ice Cream Sandwich. Even it can be upgraded to 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.
The S3 has 4.8in Super AMOLED HD display and has high speed Samsung’s own 1.4GHz Exynos quad-core processor. The device also includes 1GB of RAM, is available with 16/32/64GB of internal storage and supports an additional 64GB via the microSD slot.
Design
Looking at S3 you would love the phone at the first sight. The slickness that the phone has is the best part that attracted me towards S3. S3 comes in three variants i.e. ceramic white, pebble blue, and later a red shade. The newly designed S3 has rounded edges which makes the design look even more appealing and eye catching. The pebble blue color is the most attractive I found from all the variants available. Very new color from Samsung and really soothing to the eyes when you look at it.
The 1.9 megapixel front camera that is above the screen allows you to take the pictures of yourself. Below portion of the S3 has the home button. The button is very nicely designed and very soft. You don’t need to press it really hard. Besides the home are the back and the menu buttons which fades after sometime.
On the right side of S3 is the power button, and on the left you’ll find the volume button.
Charge the S3 with the help of Micro-USB power button on the bottom, and if you are a music lover then hear the songs by inserting your hands free through the 3.5mm headset jack up top.
Now coming to the back part of the S3 is the 8-megapixel camera lens and flash, with the microSD card slot and Near-Field Communication(NFC)-capable battery behind the back cover. For the normal phone you have regular SIM cards but S3 will not allow you to use that SIM cards. You have to go for micro SIM card.
Screen
In terms of screen size, the Galaxy S 3 has 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display(with a 1, 280x720-pixel resolution) .Its really nice experience to see the videos on such a screen. The clarity that the screen has is the most important aspect of S3. It has Corning’s Gorilla Glass 2, a thinner, lighter, more responsive cover glass material

Smart Stay
The phone tracks your eyes, so as long as you’re looking at it, the display won’t dim or turn off.Very useful and the most unique feature developed by Samsung. Its irritating when we read articles and the light goes off after few seconds and again you have to press the button to turn on the light. With this feature this problem is taken real good care off and I really loved this feature as I like reading. Very important feature for the people who like to read.
Direct Call
Another exciting feature is the Direct Call. First when I saw this feature I was surprised. But when I used the direct call I realized it has made my calling very easy. Here is how it works: If you’ve got a contact on your screen, there’s no need to press the call button: what you do is just hold the device up to your face and the number will be dialled. So simple:). Isn’t it exciting feature?
Smart Alert
When you keep your phone aside during your busy schedule and you don’t pick up your calls due to some reason this feature comes into picture.The newly enhanced notifications centre tells you the activities that have taken place when you were busy and could not pick up the phone in order of its importance.
Burst shot and best photo
The 8MP camera now offers a 20-shot burst mode and will choose the best photo for you. Photos now possible at the same time as video filming.
Face Zoom and Slide Show
Zooming made easy and attractive. The best zooming experience I have ever had with any phone so far. Just double tap a face to zoom in; Hold the S3 with thumbs at the either end of screen and move the S3 up and down and see the zooming experience. I loved it. Kudos to the Samsung for this.
Social network and camera integration
The social network and camera integration is the feature for those who are constantly active on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. Manually tagging the pictures is really tedious process sometimes if you have many pictures. How about the pictures getting tagging automatically?Wondering how can it be done.Then use this feature. This feature tags the pictures automatically and you can send images directly to those identified in them known as Buddy Photo Share. You can even display social media profile information on screen. If you have a group set then Group Tag lets you tag multiple people in one shot.
Dropbox storage

S-Voice
Siri is for Apple so S-Voice is for Samsung. And now have your phone do some talking for you and follow your instructions. Say any command to S-Voice and you will get the work done.Its like a robot doing your job on your instructions. This feature allows you to control your phone through voice, eg to turn up the volume, and to ask it questions. Astounding feature.
S-Beam
if you are one of those how wants to frequently transfer videos and files in large amount then this is the feature that you should explore. Just bump the two S3 together and see the wonders of this feature. High speed file transfer via NFC and WiFi Direct, between two phones touched together, operating at up to 300Mbps.
