It is a bit of a disappointment for me as I had huge expectations on this one. I was using an iphone 4s for near a year and I never faced this sort of heating issue there even when we played movies and game on that.
amsung Galaxy S4 heated up so quickly - I would say 5 to 10 mins when I used 3G or WIFI and navigated through some options to explore. I thought it might be due to over usage and heavy brightness of the screen etc etc, but it happened today as well where I am still at office and a normal usage of calls for around 10 mins and some screen navigations. It feels so heated and I am so disappointed.
It has lots of features which is awesome - but the basic requirement of making a call is where it let me down, I can’t keep the phone near my ear to make a call - it is so hot.
I hope this is not a common problem and should be some pieces having this issue. But seeing comments on gsmarena, it makes me think otherwise, lot many people have complained about the over heating...
Most of its Features are gimmicky and only for marketing features ONLY.....

CAMERA. 13 MP it has but still no match for the 5 month old 8.7 MP of windows Kingship Lumia 920.The pureview blows of S4 camera in low light and sheer quality.Repeated test by tech pundits shows that.In one month or so we will see a 41 MP lumia phone too.
PROCESSOR.ITS NOT OCTA CORE
This is supposed to be the high light of the phone but its greatest example of marketing gimmick.On the face we can see its octa core but not so ITS ONLY TWO QUAD CORE AND ONLY 1 PROCESSOR CAN RUN IN aphone AT A TIME meaning you never get the services of 2 processor but ONLY ONE processor despite PAYIN FOR BOTH Samsung should be pulled to the courts for misleading.
MORE THAN 41K YOU SHOULD PAY STILL PLASTIC
HTC ONE a more worthy buy is full aluminium.
why samsung do you still make flagship phone in plastic.

ITs eye scroll will benefit users to little degree and can even become a nuisance Eye tracking too ...
No Service support!!! Worst phone and worst service!!
when it was fell down from less than 1.5 meter distance and got broken into more than 10 pieces!! The screen got totally powdered!! Because that’s made of totaly cheapest gorilla glass and plastic. I think its not gorilla glass, its ANT glass, even and ant could brake it easily.
When I went to Samsung Gallery (Because there are no samsung care centres in the metro cities even), i gave those pices to them and they said, "What is this?". I told them this is samsung galaxy s4 which i brought just 2-3 days ago and it fell and broke.
And they said "Why you buy such phones if you can’t handle them carely? Everyone already knows That samsung uses cheapest material and it is not good in making ruff and tuff phones. Sorry we cant take this, you need to go to the seller from where you bought this."
So I went to the shop from where I bought and asked about it, Shopkeeper said " Sorry This phone is not mine further, that is the property of samsung , ....
suggetion ;;; if you have the gutts to waste your maney then you can go for it..otherwise don’t purchase it........
