The moment I had my hands on this phone, I am just awestruck with its display. It’s simply mind blowing. Especially the sexy screen on the edges. The display is the best available on any of the smartphones ever, even iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Your eyes will have a treat like never before on any of the smartphone. It’s crisp and the viewing experience is just too good. Watching it indoors is even more fun and the real fun begins when you watch any movie on the phone in dark. I would rate 5/5 for display, as anything above 5 will only be exaggerating too much.
The box that the S7 Edge comes in feels premium and contains: a manual, SIM tray ejector pin, Micro USB cable(the S7 twins feature Micro USB port and not USB Type C), earphones, Quick charge 2.0 adapter, and an OTG adapter(that lets you plug in any USB thumb drive directly to your phone). I own the Gold Platinum, which in turn refers to a Gold coloured phone(front and back) with a matte silver finish along the sides. The highly reflective colours(Gold & Silver) with it’s contrasting black Super AMOLED display makes for brilliant looks, although it does attract a lot of fingerprints. Needless to say, the black S7 edge offers the most immersive viewing experience as the colour of the phone itself does not distract from the display. Rounding up the rest of the front of the phone is a physical home button flanked by a fingerprint scanner and 2 capacitive buttons to it’s either side. The fingerprint scanner is blazing fast as the recognition takes mere fractions of a second. The phone can save upto 4 fingerprints in it’s memory. Coming to the 2 capacitive buttons, the left one is a multitasking key which brings up a card view of all the open apps, while the right one is a back key.
